Foodies are reaping the benefits of an abundance of small-scale producers who specialize in heirloom and non-GMO vegetables and fruit varieties. Why not specialize in doing the same thing for yourself?

 

There is a lot of sense to becoming a localvore. Everyone benefits from the practice of sourcing and consuming locally-grown foods. The economics, the community involvement, the health rewards and the caring way in which most producers regard the earth, are all factors that prove there is a better way.

 

The richness we can add to our lives through fresh, local produce is our heritage. And perhaps our legacy.
